“Had a broken hot water pipe that took out parts of three rooms and some insulation in our crawlspace. After the mitigation work, John and his crew worked the insulation, rebuilt two walls, re-tiled two floors and replaced our destroyed hardwood floor. John was really great, keeping us informed and his crew on schedule. The work was excellent, especially his two hardwood floor specialists. They did a beautiful job rebuilding the floor and got the stain exactly right, matching the floor in an adjoining room perfectly. I cannot rate them highly enough for their work. We are selling our house in 2 or 3 years and have already told John that we will be hiring them to do a refresh of several rooms before the sale. Great job!”

“I had a great experience working with John from J&C Contractors after a tree hit our home during the November cyclone. His team handled a major rebuild that involved demolishing and reconstructing the affected part of our house. They reinforced the damaged structure, rebuilt the house to its original form, restored the deck, and made sure every step met city requirements. John worked closely with the city to secure proper permits and refused to cut corners at any stage. He was also incredibly helpful with the insurance claim — advocating for additional structural work to be covered and helping us push through the red tape. John was quick to address any concerns I had, and he was flexible and accommodating throughout the process. The quality of the work was excellent, and his communication gave me total peace of mind. “We worked with John and the team on a major renovation, adding a second-story addition to our 1909 craftsman home. They managed to preserve the character and architectural integrity of our original house, which was extremely important to us, while extending it upward. The new level blends perfectly, so unless you saw the house under construction, I truly believe youd never guess it wasnt part of the original design. The addition J&C led includes three bedrooms (including a primary suite), two bathrooms and a reading nook upstairs, and the team also reconfigured the main floor by opening up a bedroom to create a cozy family nook off the kitchen. They completed essential structural work as well, including full earthquake retrofitting. Throughout the project, John and his team were very professional. Their attention to detail, thoughtful recommendations, clear communication, and commitment to staying on budget were fantastic. They worked hard every day and kept us informed throughout the project.
