Mid-Century Kitchen Remodel in Edmonds

The owners loved the mid-century bones of the home but were boxed in by a closed-off kitchen that fought the rest of the floor plan. They wanted the architecture to breathe again while bringing the kitchen into the present.

We re-engineered the layout to open the kitchen to the living and dining areas, exposed and refinished the original ceiling beams, and rebuilt around warm walnut flat-panel cabinetry, quartz counters, and a U-shaped chef's run with a pro range.

The result is a kitchen that honors the home's mid-century roots — beams, vaulted ceilings, and clerestory light — while giving the family a modern, livable space for everyday cooking and entertaining.
